CANE HILL WOOD WORKS

Restoring a Victorian Gem: Progress Update on Our Arlington Renovation (Part 2)

At Cane Hill Wood Works, our renovation of a 3,000-square-foot Victorian home in Arlington, Massachusetts, continues to make significant strides. Building upon our previous update, we’re excited to share the latest developments in this transformative project.

Structural Enhancements and System Upgrades

Our team has completed substantial reframing work, ensuring the home’s structural integrity aligns with modern standards while preserving its historical essence. The rough electrical and plumbing installations are now finalized, laying the groundwork for contemporary conveniences without compromising the home’s classic charm.

Interior Progress and Upcoming Phases

With the foundational systems in place, we’re transitioning to the interior finishing stages. This phase will involve meticulous trim work, cabinetry installation, and flooring—elements that will harmoniously blend the home’s Victorian character with modern functionality.

Team and Client Enthusiasm

Foreman Celio Alves shares the collective excitement: “Everything’s coming together very nicely. We can’t wait to see what it will look like when we have our trim up and everything. The homeowners are super excited about this, and I’m super excited as well.”

Looking Ahead

As we progress, our focus remains on honoring the home’s historical significance while integrating modern features that enhance livability. Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to breathe new life into this Victorian treasure.
